Supported models

CodingBox One uses the same USB–I²C connection and drivers as CH341T. Both use 1A86:5512.

CodingBox works with the programmers listed below through one universal driver. The driver finds a connected board over USB or a serial port and offers it in the app's connection selector, next to the built-in simulator. You do not install a separate tool for each device.

Installation notes

  • The WCH path on Windows x64 requires CH341DLLA64.DLL for CH341 / CodingBox One and CH347DLLA64.DLL for CH347. These DLL paths are unavailable on Windows ARM64. Use CH341PAR for I²C; CH341SER is a serial-port driver. CH347T HID mode needs no vendor driver.
  • Keep the FTDI VCP/D2XX driver for Whistle on Windows; replacing it with WinUSB through Zadig disables these connections. Linux/macOS use the serial-port path. FT232H uses the separate MPSSE/libusb path.
  • CP210x support applies to the USBXpress programmer, using Direct Access 4.x or newer with WinUSB. The ordinary CP210x USB–UART VCP driver does not provide this connection. CP210x and EZ Coding Box currently work only on Windows.
  • On Linux, grant access to USB, HID and serial devices. Install libusb for the devices that need it; the same library is used on macOS.

The simulator

Even with no board attached, the simulator is always available, so the interface stays fully usable for learning and evaluation.

Working with real modules needs a physical board plus the driver. Reading and decoding always happen in the application itself.
